Montgomery bus boycott
On December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white person. She was arrested because she did not give up her seat to a white person.This happened in Montgomery, Alabama. Martin Luther King Jr. Called for a boycott of all Montgomery buses. The boycotts lasted over a year. Montgomery,Alabama finally ruled all buses must be desegregated.
